From Tim in a round about way

Posted by LoganAvatar @ 11:30 AM

So, Tim sent me a link to the "Best of 2006" on iFilm, and looking through it, I saw this interview on the people's court. One word describes this strange video.

Mustache.

Sad news

Posted by LoganAvatar @ 10:09 AM

Actor Peter Boyle (Ray's Dad in Everyone Loves Raymond) has died. I thought he made that show 10X better than it would have been without him, and also thoroughly enjoyed him as the monster in "Young Frankenstein".

Sweet table

Posted by LoganAvatar @ 12:41 PM

So if anyone knows how much this cool table is, let me know... I am sure it is a few grand (at the very least), but I didn't see a price on the DB Fletcher website.

Never Mind, I Don't Want A Robot Anymore

Posted by LoganAvatar @ 11:46 AM

So, yeah, saw this on Engadget, but thought I would link to it anyways. The funniest part for me was the sparks and the "damage control" that the team does by bringing out a partition to hide it when people had already saw it go bad.

Asimo takes a fall.

For your next Movie Night.

Posted by LoganAvatar @ 11:47 AM

I don't know how I could have missed this one, Dracula: Dead and Loving It. You would have thought working in a video store for a couple years would have introduced me to this, but I haven't ever heard of it. Which brings me to my real question, what happened to Mel Brooks making good movies? If you take away "The Producers", which i have yet to see, and "Robin Hood: Men in Tights", which I thought was fun but not great, Mel hasn't been in/made a good movie since "Spaceballs"! That is 20 years! Here is to hoping the new "Get Smart" is a great movie.

P.S. I guess i forgot about the awesomeness that was "Look Who's Talking Too" (1990) ... but I am sure Mel wants to forget that

Expand your horizons, or, how to tick yourself off.

Posted by LoganAvatar @ 8:49 AM

Want to find a book you will will not like? Try the Unsuggester! From the page's description:

It analyzes the seven million books LibraryThing members have recorded as owned or read, and comes back with books least likely to share a library with the book you suggest.

I thought the entries for The Cat In The Hat were interesting, which included Porno by Irvine Welsh.

Bill Gates for prez?

Posted by LoganAvatar @ 12:50 PM

I guess this has been on slashdot already, but i figured I would post anyways. Bill Gates for President! I am kind of torn on this, On one hand, I think he is a little sneaky and tries to crush the competition in unethical ways (IE anyone?). On the other hand, I think he is smart enough to make good, rational, and fiscally responsible decisions. Oh, and Scott Adams (of Dilbert) weighs in.
